Maria Rybakowska · Product designer
I design products while they are still finding their shape.
I work from research and early concepts through interaction design, working prototypes and iteration. My background spans a Google X physical–digital pilot, marketplaces, community platforms and frontend development.
Selected work
PLANETARY OPTIMIST • 2022
Planetary Optimist
Experimental monitoring system developed with Google X. The project spread across ecological research, physical prototyping and digital interaction to turn urban planters into habitats, sensors and public interfaces.

WROBOCON • 2023–PRESENT
Wrobocon
Wrobocon is an online event for Robot Framework enthusiasts. I have designed and built it since the second edition. In a way, each Wrobocon marks a milestone in my own journey of growth in both design and code.

BUZZAREK • 2023
Buzzarek
Buzzarek tested the idea of collective local-food ordering. I joined as the product designer and researcher to turn that early signal into a working service and digital product. Together with the founder, we developed a WhatsApp pilot, researched both sides of the marketplace and iterated the identity, ordering flows and interfaces.

Independent experiments
Small products I use to investigate behaviour, interfaces and ideas that may deserve to become something larger.
FIRST LINES • 2026
First Lines
First Lines is a writing experiment that provides one opening sentence and then gets out of the way. I designed and built it to test whether constraint, private drafting and low-stakes social visibility could help people begin writing without outsourcing the writing itself.

ZINE LOCAL • 2025
Zine Local
An AI-powered “vibe-based” event discovery tool for Warsaw. Instead of keyword search, users describe how they feel — “tired but curious”, “social and artsy” — and receive thoughtfully curated cultural recommendations.
